Sustainable Entrepreneurs Network
As the advisor to the new student club, Sustainable Entrepreneurs Network (SEN), OECBD Director Maggie Gainer assisted the club in preparing its initial charter, and provides guidance in strategic planning and fundraising activities.
The mission of the Sustainable Entrepreneurs Network is to educate and empower people who are interested in sustainable issues and entrepreneurship. The organization's local and global network of students, educators, and community businesses focuses on integrating business planning with appropriate ecological design. The network strives to continually improve quality of life by considering the triple bottom line of the social, economic and environmental results.
The Sustainable Entrepreneurs Network and the Office for Economic, Community, & Business Development co-hosted a video series on international social entrepreneurship and corporate responsibility entitled, THE BUSINESS OF CHANGE, in February and March of 2007. The video series was HSU’s part in a nationwide week-long event, Entrepreneurship Week USA.
